trip arm type ATS
*레일(rail) 옆에 설치되어, *신호기(信號機)가 *진행신호(進行信號)인 경우에는 *압축공기(壓縮 空氣) 또는 *전자석(電磁石)에 의해 넘어진 상태로 되어 있는 *타자(트립 암: trip arm)가 정지현시(停止現示) 시에는 세워져, *열차(列車)에 장착되고 있는 트립콕(trip cock)에 접촉하여 부딪치고, 기계적(機械的)으로 콕을 열어 *브레이크(brake)를 동작시키는 구조의 ATS. 오래 전부터 지하철에 사용되어 왔다.
